Good music and good atmosphere
Kringsnudd Festival is a new music festival arranged in the heart of Hemsedal, in our town centre.
You'll experience pop and rock music at it's best surrounded by beautiful mountains.
We also focus on showing off young artists from Hallingdal and each year we will present to you a new artist who will be sharing the stage with other great bands from Norway.
More info on this year's line up is to be found under Artists.
Miss Jacobs
With her charming voice and intelligent pop music Miss Jacobs will warm you even during the coldest weather. Listen to her song Bouncing Smiles at www.myspace.com/missjacobsband It is an excellent example of her excentric songs inspiret by Regina Spector, Ingrid Olava and Hello Saferide.
Silje Karlsen
Silje Karlsen is another singer songwriter with great ambitions. She offers a great mixture of Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush and rock bands like Kaizers Orchestra and the Killers. Check her out at www.siljekarlsen.com while you're waiting.
Wolves Like Us
No one plays our favourite music anymore so we'll do it ourselfs they said when Wolves Like Us won new artist of the week earlier this year, and only a few months after their first rehersal. But these guys are not novices -Wolves Like Us has, not only the coolest name in Norwegian rock at the moment, but also one the most awesome backgrounds in Norwegian rock: these four guys have their backgrounds from the best rock bands from Norway like Amulet, JR Ewing, the Infields, Silver and others. Get a sneak peak at what they can offer of nerves and rage at: www.myspace.com/wolveslikeusss
Monzano
After Norwegian garage rock lay down their guitars and a new generation musicians took over Sjur Lyseid was one of the stars shinging brightest. Whit his band Monzano he writes the lyrics you wish you came up with yourself, and the melodies you new existed but still haven't heard. Big shining pop melodies that sparkles in the sun, refrains at the size of Kjerringkjeten, everything deliverd with great presence and a shy smile. Think Death Cab for Cutie, Band of Horses, the Shins and Modest Mouse and you are not too far away. Listen to Monzano at: www.myspace.com/monzano
Manjolia Mountains
In 1971 Neil Yong runs into Motorpsyco and the Greatful Dead at the international space center, an spontaious jamsession begins -and there is a party. This is how one of Manjolia Mountains songs, Walk This Road, sounds like. Others, like Drone #1, sounds like something totally different. Like a BBC documentary about life on Mars at sundown. In other words: you never know what you get. But it being spellbinding, psycedelic, tuneful and groovy. Hear them before everyone else.
Spellbound
Two young singer/songwriters from Hemsedal.
