From our home on the family farm of Aalstveit we have been guiding people in wilderness and mountain culture activities in Hemsedal for over 20 years. We enhance this with Natural Therapy, Zen Meditation and Martial Arts.
Organic and traditional mountain farming and forestry give us a solid base to offer guiding and memorable experiences in mountain wilderness and culture.
Hemsedal's majestic mountain landscape presents wonderful opportunities for tours in deep, natural forests, wild watercourses and in the panoramic mountain heights.
On daytours and courses we emphasise safety and, particularly, the ability and capacity of each individual participant. This helps to enhance the experiences. As a participant you will learn more about how to plan and realize your own tours in the mountain landscape.
Tours and courses can vary from a few hours to one week. We prefer smaller groups of max. 7 participants. This also promotes safety and meaningful experiences.
Farm and forest tour
Visit the Traditional Hemsedal Farm, Aalstveit. A small, organic farm with indigenous sheep and hardy beef cattle. Accompany the farmer on his rounds checking and feeding the livestock. Enjoy insights into local highland farming and forestry in the past and present, local history and archeology, plants and wildlife, traditions and folklore.
We also walk down into the home forest and try out traditional handtools; axe, saw etc. Here, we make a fire and eat our lunchpacks (weather permiting).

Wilderness Ski Tour for beginners
Enjoy the peace and quiet of Hemsedal's wilderness with an experienced local guide. An introduction to traditional wilderness skiing, route finding, snow structure, weather patterns, clothing, fauna, flora, local history, culture and folklore.
