Flying is the fastest and most comfortable way of travelling to Norway.
Always remember to check how to get to Hemsedal from the airport, before you book your flight ticket.
During the winter season from 20.12.2009 to 18.04.2009, you can book a seat and travel the airport transfer bus on Fridays and Sundays from Oslo Airport Gardemoen, and on Sundays from Torp Airport. The bus goes directly from the airport to Gol, Hemsedal and Geilo.

How to get to Hemsedal from Oslo Airport Gardermoen:
1. Take the Airport express train or an airport shuttle bus
such as Flybussekspressen or SAS Flybuss to Oslo Central Station/Bus Terminal.
2. From Oslo Central Station you can take the train to Gol and then the local bus, Gol-Hemsedal.
Please note: If no bus is corresponding with the train, the only way to get to Hemsedal is by taxi.
Call the taxi companies in advance for reservation and prices.
3. Another possibility is to take a bus going directly from Oslo Bus Terminal to Hemsedal, either Sogn og Fjordanekspressen or Hallingbussen.
Remember: During the winter season 09-10 there will be transfer buses going directly from the airport to Hemsedal, Gol and Geilo.
4. Rent a car by one of the several car rental companies at Gardermoen Airport Oslo.
Sandefjord Airport Torp is located about 115 km south-west of Oslo. Driving time from the airport to Hemsedal is approx. 4 hours
There are many direct flights to Sandefjord Airport Torp from Europe.
Ryanair is the main company flying into the airport, but also KLM, Wideroe and Wizz Air fly to Torp.
How to get to Hemsedal from Sandefjord Airport Torp:
1. Take the Torpekspressen from the airport to Oslo Central station/bus terminal (Galleriet).
2. From Oslo Central Station you can take the train to Gol and then the local bus, Gol-Hemsedal.
Please note: If no bus is corresponding with the train, the only possibility to get to Hemsedal is by taxi.

3. Another possibility is to take a bus going directly from Oslo Bus Terminal to Hemsedal, either Sogn og Fjordanekspressen or Hallingbussen.

Bergen airport Flesland is located in Bergen, the second largest city of Norway. The driving time from Bergen to Hemsedal is approx. 4 hours.
Companies flying into Bergen Airport Flesland are amongst others SAS, KLM, Lufthansa, Norwegian, Wideroe. Bergen is a great starting point for your Norway and Hemsedal trip. The city itself has a lot of interesting attractions such as the Fløybanen and the old UNESCO listed buildings along the wharf, Bryggen.
On your way to Hemsedal you can experience beautiful fjords, among them the longest fjord in the world, Sognefjorden. There will also be high mountains, waterfalls and the possibility to visit different attractions, such as Flåmsbanen, on your way to Hemsedal.
How to get from Bergen to Hemsedal:
1. Take the airport shuttle bus or taxi to Bergen Bus Terminal (Bystasjonen) or Bergen train station.
2. From the train station you can take the train to Gol and then the local bus, Gol-Hemsedal to Hemsedal.
OBS! If no bus is corresponding with the train, the only possibility to get to Hemsedal is by taxi.

3. There are buses running between Bergen Bus Terminal and Hemsedal.
You take either the Øst Vest Ekspressen or the Sognebussen to Lærdal/Håbakken bus stop.
There you change to the Sogn og Fjordane Ekspressen which goes to Hemsedal and Oslo.
4. Rent a car at one of the several car rental companies in Bergen.
Fagernes Airport is located an one hour drive from Hemsedal.
Fagernes Airport is operated by DOT Lt and has direct flights between Oslo Airport Gardermoen and Fagernes Airport, Leirin.
How to get from Fagernes Airport to Hemsedal:
1. Take the Aiport shuttle bus from the Airport to Fagernes Bus station.
2. Take the local bus, Fagernes-Gol, to Gol and then the local bus, Gol-Hemsedal, to Hemsedal.
3. Another possibility is to hire a car. AVIS, HERTZ and Fagernes Bilutleie are offering car hire.
