Hemsedal Ski Resort is regarded as one of Norway best ski resorts.

Hemsedal Ski Resort has 42 slopes and 21 lifts, and at the level of 1450 meters above sea level you find Norways highest groomed slope.

The climate in Hemsedal is stable, and the northern location makes Hemsedal one of Europe's most snow secure ski destinations. The ski season lasts for almost 6 months, usually starting in mid November and lasts untill the beginning of May.

Opening hours

Open every day:
November 25th - February 2nd: 09:00-15:30
February 3rd - May 1st: 09:00-16:30

Night skiing:
Saturday 9. December and 16. December and every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
from December 20th to March 30th from 18:00 to 20:30.

Morning skiing with breakfast:
Every Saturday between February 4th to March 24th from 07:00 to 09:00.

Ski Pass for Hemsedal

Ski pass for Hemsedal Ski Resort also includes Solheisen Ski Center.

Ski pass for Hemsedal can be purchased online before arrival. You can also buy your ski pass at the ticket office and at the Welcome Center when arriving in Hemsedal.

Skistar Skischool Hemsedal

At our ski school in Hemsedal Ski Resort you can choose between group lessons and private lessons for all levels and ages. With our excellent ski instructor, you will experience greater and faster progress with your skiing.

Ski lessons can be booked online or at our booking office at Welcome Center in Hemsedal Alpin Lodge. But we recommend pre-booking to be sure to get the lessons or class you prefer.

Skistar Skirental Hemsedal

At our ski rentals you can rent alpine skis, snowboard and equipment for all ages and levels – from beginners to experts. We have skis, twin tip, carving skis, snow blades, snowboards, cross country skis, boots, poles and helmets. Helmets can be rented for free at all our outlets - both children and adults.

Skirental Hemsedal also has a full-service repair shop and can help you with all types of ski and snowboard repair. Leave your equipment with us before 16.00 and the equipment will be waxed and ready for you at 09.00 the next day.

Hemsedal Skirental have 2 stores in Hemsedal Ski Resort and 1 store in Solheisen Ski Center.

Hemsedal Ski Center opens Saturday, February 18. skating course in the ski center.

The course is free to use for everyone. Bring your own skates and helmets to try it out.

Do not have a helmet or skates? You can hired skates in Ski rental in Hemsedal Alpin Lodge. Helmet are for free.
Rental of skates costs NOK 50, - for 2 hours, free rent for children.
