The ski patrol in Hemsedal Ski Resort and Solheisen Skisenter is responsible for the safety of skiers on the slopes.
The task of the ski patrol is to secure, inspect and mark groomed trails, as well as provide first aid, transport the injured out of the ski resort and contact a doctor if necessary. The ski patrol will also notify daily about avalanche risk.
In case of accident on the slopes:
1) Put the skis crossed above the injured person to avoid collisions
2) If immediate assistance please contact the nearest lift or call (+47) 32 05 53 30 or (+ 47) 90 60 98 26
3) Provide accurate information about the type of injury and trail number

Free avalanche courses for school groups
By giving young people a good education in avalanche courses and skiing, we hope to contribute to fewer accidents in and around the ski resorts.
The course takes approximately 3 hours, and is a good starting point for students to learn more about how to travel safely in the mountains.
During the course we will talk about:
• What is an avalanche?
• How to avoid avalanches?
• Demonstration of safety
