Bad weather?


In the mountains the weather can change quickly, so even though the weather is bad in the morning it can change during the day. Here you will find some tips on what to do while you wait.

  • Go for a shopping round in the town center and discover our small town shops.

  • Work out 
    Go to Helselaben and do a work-out or maybe get a massage? If you are more into yoga check out Lynx Well or Reflection Yoga 
  • Visit one of our cafees
    Enjoy a good cup of coffee or something sweet at Elmas HandelArti kafe or one of the cafees in the ski resort.
  • Have a nice lunch
    Grab your lunch at 1002 m.a.s.l at Brygga 11 at Skarsnuten Hotel. Here you can enjoy your lunch with a great view of the entire valley.
  • Check our local produce
    As a farming village, we have many locally produced foods in Hemsedal. Find them here
  • Have fun with your friends
    During the winter season you can challenge your friends to a game of bowling at Stavkroa sportsbar or a game of shuffleboard at O'Learys. In Skistar Lodge you will also find an indoor climbing wall to oversome.In Gastropub Hemsedal you can enjoy a game of pool.
  • Be creative
    At Stugu you will find hobby things so you can to a DIY project in your apartment or cabin. Maybe you want to learn how to crochet or make your own jewelry?
  • Do as the vikings - go outside anyway
    Luckily lots of clothing are designed to keep you warm and dry, so get dressed and enjoy. Let the rain or snow hit your face and feel alive. Bring some snacks and enjoy a break in some of the picnics areas.
